Categories

Membership categories in the PRHTA are composed of: Hotels, Small Hotels and Allied Members. Restaurants are a special category within the Allied Membership.

Hotels

Small Hotels (1 to 75 Rooms):
$12.00 per Room
* Minimun dues of $150.00 *

Hotels (76 Rooms or more):
$23.00 per Room
* Hotels with casinos pay an additional assessment *

Requirements

Hotels must be endorsed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.

If a hotel is not endorsed, it can hold provisional membership for a period of up to one year, during which time the PRHTA will offer support to help the property obtain PRTC endorsement.

Once the requisites have been fulfilled, you will be notified of acceptance and sent an invoice for dues.

Restaurants

Restaurants should be endorsed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. Dues are based on annual gross sales. PRHTA dues also include automatic membership in the National Restaurant Association (NRA).

Sales Dues
$500,000 or less: $350.00
$500,001 to $2 million: $600.00
$2 million or more: $750.00

Allieds

Allied members include suppliers of goods and services within Puerto Rico's tourism and hospitality industry. Dues for non-profit allied member organizations are set at $300. Dues for all other allied members are based on annual gross sale.

$2 million or more: $700.00
